Strategies, Information, and Levity for RSI Sufferers

About Me

My name is Mitch Aist. I developed a severe case of computer-related RSI at age 29. Since then, I managed to continue my employment and even thrive at my job and computer workstation despite my injury. After the injury, I remained employed for nearly a year thanks to the help of knowledgeable medical professionals, gaining flexibility in my work duties and career, as well as a bit of determination and creativity when it came to using alternative computer input tools and aggressively rehabilitating my hands.

About the Blog

What is RSI?

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is a condition of moderate to severe and sometimes debilitating pain in the upper limbs, typically the hands, caused by repeated use over time.

How will this blog help me?

The material presented in this blog is primarily for current RSI/chronic hand pain sufferers and those at risk of getting RSI. It will be a resource to you for information, advice, discussion, and community. I plan to do research, product reviews, tell stories, and invite you to participate in the discussion!

Why are you making a blog about RSI?

I believe that current and future Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) sufferers can succeed in life, in their careers, and can recover from RSI. My mission is to advocate for better education about RSI and for lifestyles and habits which lower those risks of RSI. Current sufferers can accomplish their goals in spite of their injury if they have accurate information from medical experts and a willingness to adapt.
